ijjnews.com, Aug. 25 -- The 2018 AUSF Football Cup China Qualification concluded successfully on August 24. Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) won the championship of men's group with the scores of 5:0 over Taiyuan University of Technology (TUT), which won the runner-up.
The award ceremony was held at the Jinjiang sports center. Xue Yanqing, chairman of the AUSF and secretary general of the Joint Secretariat of the Student Sports Association of the Ministry of Education, Ayub Hahafiah, executive committee member of the AUSF and chairman of the AUSF technical committee, and Jinjiang government officials such as Liu Wenru, Zhang Wenxian, Huang Shaowei, Wang Haifei and Lin Yue attended the ceremony.
At the ceremony, the awards were not only given for BIT (champion of the men's team), TUT (runner-up of the men's team) and Donghua University (DHU) (second runner-up of the men's team), but also for the best referee, the best team leader, the best coach, the best goalkeeper, the best shooter, the best player, the sportsmanship, etc.
It is reported that the 2018 AUSF Football Cup China Qualification started on August 17, with the final match held on August 24. After eight-day fierce competition, BIT won the men's team championship, Beijing Normal University (BNU) and DHU won the women's team championship and runner-up, respectively. These three teams will fight for China in the 2018 AUSF Football Cup.
The 2018 AUSF Football Cup will be held in Jinjiang from October 29 to November 11. 16 men's teams and seven women's teams representing the universities from Asian countries will gather for the event.
